Best out of waste.

Hello there, you all must have understood what I will be saying in this blog. How to make a different craft work with a used, or leftover products. In this blog I am sharing with you a picture to make your own paper bags, design as you like, make paper flowers, butterflies, for that matter any new idea you invent. This one is specially for my lovely friend chinu, who is very much excited to learn art and craft ideas from me. Though she is very much talented herself, but rarely agrees to it.

So lets get started firstly, you will require few things to make your very own paper bag.

Things required:
1. Newspaper
2. Glue
3. Cardboard
4. Hole guard
5. Thick thread or Shoe lace (not from the shoe anyone is using though)
6. Punch Machine

Steps to Follow:

1. Stick 2 to 3 layers of paper with glue and leave it aside for 5 minutes. (It depends on how much thickness you require for your bag)

2. Fold the paper as per instructed in the above photograph. (In inches)

3. Once the box is formed glue the ends and then pack one end.

4. Stick the packed end thoroughly, and cover it with piece of cardboard.

5. To make handle for the bag, use punch machine to make hole.

6. Use hole guard to protect the punched holes, so as to avoid the paper to tare off 

7. Lastly, use thread for making handle for bag, putting a tight knot with in the bag.

Note:  If you think of making colourful paper bags, use poster or water colour paint to give different effects and texture to your paper bags. Make sure that colour is properly absorbed and the paper is dried before you start making your paper bag.

Your Newspaper handbag is ready to use. In India we don't have this system of using paper bags, but it is very use full in our daily lives. Its high time we all stop using harmful plastic bags and use paper bag instead. 

We all want our house, society and area to be clean, but as a individual we lack participation. By doing small changes around us such as using paperbags instead of plastic bags, we are saving our nature mother. So if you want see change around you, you have start making change yourself and motivate others to do as well.

Start with Art.....

Art can be of any kind, shape and size it can be drawing, painting, craft, cooking, quilling.........and it continues with unending list of creativity, which you can explore as much as you want. Basically anything that will please your eyes and mind with great, creative and innovative designs. Simple piece of paper can also make eye catching designs, you just need to look within, explore your own interest and know what brings smile to your face and shine to your eyes. Love what you do may it be smallest creation of your own.

In my previous blog, Memory box I remember saying that technology is keeping us apart as friends, but this same technology is allowing us to exploring so many other things. So today why don't we start with any new art form what you need is motivation, inspiration or like my friend just a little push. Some days back I got some free time to add new creations in my craft list. In search of new art I found new websites that provides you snap shots of different art forms.

This are some simple and easy craft idea that I made. It takes nothing more than an hour. So get up and get started as soon as you get a chance to prove your talent. Love what you do. If you make some creative art and gift it to your friends and family, it enriches your relationship. Give a personal touch. Easiest way just start making simple things from news papers, cut it, stick it, wrap it. Always you don't need to go to your craft shops and end up buying all unnecessary things that may not be useful in making your craft work. So to avoid that first try and make art and craft with those things that are easily available at home.

The above candle photo is the one what I made at home in my free time for my cousin and other as you can all see just easy part which is simply cut and glued paper work to create a design that will beautiful for Christmas decoration. Christmas is just around the corner, being a week end utilize you time to decorate your home with your creative craft work, no matter what religion you follow but once you decorate your place, I am 200 percent sure you will be always keep appreciating art work like I do. MEMORY BOX

My Memory box, this is was i call it when i clean all my drawers and shelf's. Every time i start it, i get loaded with all my old photo's, greeting cards, letters, post cards and after that i end up laughing at myself, missing my good old days and friends.........leaving my shelf's as it is in the mess again.  

We all have sweet, sour, spicy different flavors of memories. Its up to us which one to cherish. If you have all the memories all in your mind and not photo or any other form, you can do a simple thing make your own new memory box. Its that simple. Only one thing to keep in mind is that all we need to keep in the box is the hard copy of photo's, post, greetings & letter's.

As the technology has advanced we all have lost contacts with each other. I am not against technology, change is good but as a Human being we are emotional fools. We need friends, family, siblings or just someone to share our feelings. Today we all might find this idea foolish or childish or even count as wastage of space for a stupid bunch of box. But down the lane when we all be in different parts of country or world, one thing that will make you smile when you are left alone is the Memory box. It will bring back you all the love and affectionate memories from your loved one's that will tickle your brain.

Yesterday, i was messaging few friends about my other blog on Art & Craft when i came across a reply message from my college friend, Hetal. She mentioned she had preserved the calligraphy writing letter which i had gifted her during college days. Its been more than a decade, but we got goosebumps over talking about our old memories, it made me and my friend smile. Memory box is something that will always make you happy when you open it. 

Friends, even today try sending postcards, greeting cards, small love notes to your loved ones on special occasions or may be just to tell how much you miss your loved ones. Facebook, Twitter and other social networking sites keeps upgrading and updating latest things, for how long are you going to scroll back in your Facebook memory, eventually you will give up on searching your past photo's or comments, what it lacks is that personal touch what we receive from our friends & family. We all love each other, sometimes a little more and sometimes a little less and to express it this small tiny things like post, greeting cards and photos that will make lot changes with in us.

Love & Live your Hobbies

After long time, now almost a decade. I have been experimenting and surprising myself with my childhood hobbies from past few months. We think that its a kids job to do all hobby thing....we all think likewise about it, reason we all are too busy with our jobs, trying to make some family time, house hold chorus and and unending list of things to in our daily boring life's. 

What we don't do is take just few hours for ourselves in a week. Hobbies are very refreshing. Today my college friend SAM, reminded me and made me aware of what i can do with all my so called creative hobbies. Its like a rejuvenating therapy.......away from all the worries and stress, feel relaxed and motivated. I love Painting and try doing different variations in Art & Craft, experimented many things like, oil painting, candle making, string art, calligraphy, make products out of waste. Its fun and relaxing both at the same time.
 
In school days, we all are burdened with studies, and as soon as we pass out of college our family wants us to get a well paid job. In all this life is messed up, sometimes kids are not given choice. Since now when you can use your Laptop or Computer all by yourself, i guess you are a grown up and  make some small choices for your own peace of mind. Get up and get started, just once a week few hours, practice any hobby or art your own life and make things happen. There are unlimited variations in art and craft world. choose one or many its your choice, but practicing it is what will help you grow.

Last month, i encouraged my friend to start her calligraphy practice which was long lost after her school ended, she is now a newly wedded woman, Manager in a financial firm, in short a very busy lady. She was the one who introduced me to Calligraphy Writing Art. What i did was to just send few photos to her by phone.......so that she would feel nostalgic, miss all the good times we spend together with calligraphy, and this small magic trick worked. 

This hobby practice can also make you earn some grands if you do business out of it. Doing a job will just help you to be financially stable, but making some time for your hobby (Love what you do) for just few minutes a day will give you mental satisfaction. So start exploring, loving and living your dream, hobbies and interest.
